About the Author...

About the author…

That’s me! Hi—CC here.

Call me the author, mother, or captive of these books, their characters and story. I have been coexisting with Nicole, Raiden and Gordan and their tangled lives for the last thirteen years. I started writing this story of theirs when I was a sophomore in high school with no idea where it was going to take me. I had no intention of writing a book, let alone three (which I knew of before I graduated high school) or even six (yeah, three more—because why would these three STOP complicating my psyche after thirteen years and three books?)

I was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL and lived there until I was five. My family then moved to Yuma, AZ—to a five-year-old the loss of the ocean and exile to the desert was a heartbreaking change. For a long time I felt Yuma lacked the magic I missed so much about Florida, the beach, the near-constant presence of clouds, sudden showers on sunny days and thunderstorms that chased you out of the pool and into the house. Yuma needed magic and, ultimately, I decided to make it myself.

I’ll do it myself has become my personal motto of sorts, as I began my publishing journey with a self-publisher that seemed promising but eventually found it to be more frustrating than anything. I took matters into my own hands and I’m now my own designer, formatter, and publisher. The whole process has been quite a journey to bring this story to life and share it with my wonderful readers. Connecting with people who fall as much in love with these characters as I am is the real dream and I plan to keep doing this for the rest of my life.

I currently live in Yuma, AZ working as a substitute teacher while I figure out how to make a career of creativity. Follow my efforts to accomplish this when I’m not trapped under the bodies of one of my two cats on my social media.
